As a news anchor, my role is to effectively communicate to the audience. I am responsible for delivering information clearly and confidently.

On camera:

• Read and deliver news scripts (teleprompter + ad-lib)

• Transition between stories smoothly

• Handle breaking news live (no script sometimes)

• Interview guests (live or recorded)

Off camera:

• Help write/edit scripts (especially in smaller markets)

• Prep for interviews (research guests/topics)

• Work with producers to shape the show

• Build personal brand (social media, community presence)
